I only just found out today (a whole MONTH late) that The Designers Republic finally closed their doors for business. After 24 wonderful years filled with diabetes-inducing eye candy of the highest order. I'm shocked, heartbroken, devastated!
Too much arseing about from dicky clients, tax miscalculations...lots of little things that all happened at once and proved a little bit too much. I suppose it was death by a thousand cuts.
Though if the greatest design house in the world goes under, what hope is there for the rest of us?

However there is one small light at the end of the tunnel... they may be back! And back true to their original mission statement - hand crafted, pure design and fun! Apparently they never really liked the whole 'big company with accountants' thing, it was a pain in the ass. So the pheonix may rise from the ashes, stronger than before! (and hopefully finally fix their godawful flash website).

Who the hell thought FLASH would be a good idea? Flash sucks! It sucks balls. Please take it away and burn it in the pyre like the spawn of Hell it is.
